Title: From Me to You
Author: Mary Carson
Date: 2022
Quote: "And all I wanted to do was wipe that smile off his face. His fantastic, handsome face."
Lizzy was an achiever when she and Theo were in college. He went into a slump, after a death in the family, and drifted away from her. His sister is still a dear old friend, so she agrees to parade down the aisle with Theo at the wedding, but that's all.
He happens to have a smart-aleck uncle who likes to help romance along by sabotaging people's cars so they'll be unable to leave a romantic picnic spot at night unless they're unusually well prepared. When Theo stalwartly refuses to take advantage of a chance to snuggle up with Lizzy overnight by applying antiromantic pressure, Lizzy decides she's in love with him again...
This sweet romance ends with a series of four epilogues, which I think looks messy, but it's a sweet romance about how a slacker boy proves beyond all doubt that he has developed real discipline and self-control, and deserves a happy-ever-after ending.
Happy Valentines Day, Gentle Readers.
