HB 1557: Increasing School Security

Delegate Bob Marshall explains that Virginia House Bill 1557 will, if enacted," require school divisions to identify one teacher or administrator at each school within their division to be trained to receive weapons training in order to be certified to carry a concealed weapon in school in order to be another line of defense in a shooter situation. We have had quite a bit of positive feedback from teachers and administrators who would be glad to be trained and certified to do this in order to protect their students."
