Fun Facts About Martin Luther King

Although no public access computer was available on Martin Luther King Day, which has now come and gone, Arlen Williams has belatedly posted an excellent list of fun facts about Dr. King's life and work and his commemoration--or desecration--in the President's inaugural speech:

Not exactly the usual right-wing "Bet you didn't know how polite he was to this or that 'Communist'" items. During his own lifetime Martin Luther King, Jr., was definitely perceived as being on the political left, but the left have gone so far overboard lately that he could, like Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John Fitzgerald Kennedy, almost be reclaimed by the New Right.
